Chilean sphagnum moss is a moss characterized by its very high water retention capacity.
It presents itself as a substrate that you can use during your repottings or when air-layering a tree.
Indeed, its strong ability to retain moisture prevents your substrate—and thus your roots—from drying out.
It can also be used for certain types of trees that are sensitive to rapid root drying.
For example, when going on vacation or during a hot summer day, feel free to spread this pre-moistened moss over your substrate, allowing you to leave with peace of mind.
